Readly continues under new ownership

Thank you for choosing Readly.

We wish to hereby inform you that most of Readly's operations outside of Sweden are being assigned to a French group of companies named Cafeyn1, which is, similarly to Readly, an established service provider of digital newspapers and magazines. This means that shortly it will be the Cafeyn Group that provides the Readly service to you.

To ensure a seamless experience, your subscription will be transferred to a refreshed Readly application, powered by Cafeyn, and you will be able to access the Readly service from that application in a smooth way. You will receive more information in the Readly application when the assignment takes effect. Throughout this transition, the Readly Group and the Cafeyn Group are both committed to ensuring a smooth and seamless process to ensure you can continue enjoying the newspapers and magazines of your choice.

You can read more about the transition below.

Best regards

What has happened?

Readly’s current owner, Tidnings AB Marieberg, has agreed to transfer Readly’s non Nordic operations to the Cafeyn Group, including the business conducted in your home market.

What is Cafeyn Group?

The Cafeyn Group is a European digital press and magazine distribution group that has been working with hundreds of publishers across multiple European markets since 2006. Cafeyn provides access to a wide range of magazines and newspapers through its app, which is designed for optimal reading on smartphones, tablets, and computers. With a user-friendly interface, Cafeyn covers various categories including sports, business, fashion, health, lifestyle, and technology.

What are the legal details?

Your customer agreement for the Readly service will be assigned the day the Cafeyn Group acquires the non-Nordic Readly business. This is estimated to occur during Spring 2026, and we will let you know as soon as the date is confirmed. Readly will during an intermediate period procure that payment reaches Cafeyn for the Cafeyn subscription service, and thereafter, upon notice, act as a reseller for the Cafeyn subscription service for up to 6 months after the assignment of your customer contract.
